• Stars by Michael Bronspigel

The collection balances restraint and radiance. Points, lines, and planes are placed with micro precision so the composition reads as calm even as it holds a quiet charge. Surfaces are tuned to receive light, not merely reflect it, which allows stars to sharpen at one angle and soften at another.

Stars Collection

The collection centers on balance, proportion, and the subtle shift from surface to atmosphere. Bands of color are layered with precision so that light interacts differently across each plane. As you move, tones recede and advance, edges become soft or crisp, and distance appears where there was only wall.

  • The Art of Light and Distance

Tape is the medium, light is the collaborator. Each point is placed to create tension and release, and each interval is tested so the rhythm feels natural, not forced. Overlaps act like veils that create gentle gradients, crisp edges define structure, and the smallest shift in position can recompose the field.

Surface is everything here. The material holds a tactile truth that keeps the work grounded even as it reads as atmosphere from across the room. As daylight moves, stars appear to advance or recede, as evening falls, darker planes deepen, and the composition gains a quiet glow. No electronics are needed, only light, time, and the way you stand while working.

This discipline of simplicity demands care. Proportions are refined repeatedly, palettes are mixed to the softest degree, and the final balance is set so the piece remains tranquil in bright day and resonant in low light.

“Experiencing Michael’s interactive work in person completely redefined my understanding of art. As you move, the painting responds—you become part of it. We commissioned a horizon piece for our home, and guests are mesmerized by its subtle transformation throughout the day. It brings stillness and clarity to the entire space.”

"Michael’s floral tape paintings are unlike anything I’ve ever collected. The texture and movement shift beautifully with the light throughout the day—it feels as though the flowers are alive. His use of tape elevates the subject matter to pure emotion. It’s not just a painting; it’s a living presence in the room."

“The stars series captures the feeling of standing under a night sky—quiet, expansive, and deeply personal. What amazes me is how the artwork changes with distance. Up close, it’s precise and tactile. From across the room, it becomes atmosphere. It’s both meditative and powerful—truly timeless.”

"Michael Bronspigel’s work speaks with restraint and intention. His nude paintings are elegant and deeply human—minimal yet full of presence. His U$ series, on the other hand, is bold and conceptually rich. It challenges you to reflect on value and culture while maintaining the sophistication of fine art. His range is extraordinary."
